Why it matters

  • Amdocs expanded its multi-year strategic collaboration with Globe in the Philippines to modernise core business platforms
  • Amdocs signed a multi-year managed services agreement with Integratel Peru covering application management and technology development
  • Integratel Peru selected Amdocs Online Charging System (OCS) as its target monetisation platform for real-time convergent charging
  • Both operators will use Amdocs aOS for AI-driven automation
  • Globe's modernisation follows a phased approach aligned with business continuity

The story

Amdocs has signed two multi-year agreements in one week, pairing an expanded strategic collaboration with Globe in the Philippines with a managed services deal at Integratel Peru. Both hinge on the same pitch: agentic AI automation through Amdocs aOS.

The Globe agreement covers modernisation of the operator's core business platforms and stronger IT operations. Globe, described by Amdocs as a leading digital solutions provider in the Philippines, will take a phased approach to modernisation aligned with its business priorities rather than a big-bang swap.

That phasing matters. The deal combines continued support for critical systems with incremental platform upgrades, designed to strengthen platform stability and improve operational performance while maintaining business continuity. In plain terms: Globe keeps the lights on while replacing the wiring.

What does Globe get beyond software?

Amdocs will also support internal capability building at Globe through knowledge sharing and technical collaboration. The stated goal is to help Globe's own teams manage and evolve its technology environment, with these efforts progressing according to Globe's priorities and operational readiness.

That clause reads as a hedge against the classic outsourcing trap, where the vendor ends up owning knowledge the operator can't reclaim. Whether the knowledge transfer actually sticks will show up years from now, not in the press release.

What's in the Integratel Peru deal?

The Peru agreement is a multi-year managed services contract with Integratel Peru, a provider spanning fixed and mobile communications plus pay TV. Amdocs will handle application management and technology development across key systems.

The stated aims are a simpler technology environment and faster time-to-market for new services. The concrete anchor here is the selection of Amdocs Online Charging System (OCS) as Integratel Peru's target monetisation platform.

OCS gives the operator a modern foundation for real-time, convergent charging across current and future services. Amdocs says it should enable more flexible pricing and faster launches of digital and connectivity offerings. For a convergent player juggling fixed, mobile and TV on legacy systems, convergent charging is the commercial point of the whole exercise.

Why both deals lean on aOS

Integratel Peru, like Globe, will deploy Amdocs aOS to introduce AI-driven automation. The claimed benefits are reduced manual effort and more efficient, responsive customer experiences.

That's vendor language worth flagging. Agentic operating systems are the current marketing frontier for BSS vendors, and measurable outcomes, such as headcount saved or provisioning cycles shortened, aren't in the announcement. What is concrete: two multi-year commitments from operators in distinct markets choosing the same automation stack.

For Amdocs, the week's work extends its Latin American and Southeast Asian footprint simultaneously. For Globe and Integratel, the deals set multi-year modernisation roadmaps whose pace, both announcements note, depends on each operator's own priorities and readiness.
