Liquid C2 Signs KnowBe4 Reseller Deal for Africa Security Push
Cassava's Liquid C2 signed a reseller deal with KnowBe4 on Tuesday, bundling security training and risk management into its managed cybersecurity offer for African SMEs.
Why it matters
- Liquid C2 signed the KnowBe4 reseller agreement on Tuesday.
- The deal covers enterprise and SME customers across Africa.
- KnowBe4 will be bundled with Liquid C2's managed cybersecurity and Governance, Risk and Compliance offerings.
- Targeted regulated sectors are finance, telecoms and government.
- Customers get local billing, regional support, onboarding and industry-specific compliance assistance.
The story
Cassava Technologies' Liquid C2 signed a reseller agreement with KnowBe4 on Tuesday, adding security awareness training and risk management tools to its cybersecurity portfolio for enterprise customers across Africa.
The deal puts KnowBe4's products into Liquid C2's bundled services. These include managed cybersecurity, which customers can also buy through Liquid C2's wider Governance, Risk and Compliance offering. The target market is African SMEs, plus regulated sectors such as finance, telecoms and government.
What does the partnership actually deliver?
KnowBe4 specialises in what the industry calls the human layer of security: training staff to recognise phishing and social engineering before those threats reach corporate systems. Liquid C2 will now resell that capability alongside its existing managed services, rather than build a competing product in-house.
For buyers, the practical changes are operational. Customers get local billing, regional support, onboarding and compliance assistance tailored to their industry. That last point matters for regulated African operators and banks, where procurement rules often require locally supported vendors rather than direct offshore contracts.
The offer spans staff at all levels of client organisations, from frontline employees to executives, according to the companies.
Why the human layer?
Liquid C2's chief commercial officer framed the deal around skills, not technology. "Employees need the skills and awareness to spot threats early, and by working with KnowBe4, we are strengthening the human side of our cybersecurity services," Vinay Hiralall said in a statement.
He added: "Our partnership will ensure our customers have access to global cybersecurity training and an experience customised for staff at all levels of client organisations."
The argument is familiar to security practitioners. Technical controls fail most often at the point of human error, and training vendors pitch measurable risk reduction through repeated simulated phishing and education. Liquid C2 is now packaging that discipline with its managed detection and compliance services for a single regional contract.
Which sectors does this target?
The companies named three regulated verticals where they see the strongest demand:
- Finance
- Telecoms
- Government
In these sectors, strong cyber security measures protect people, systems and data, the companies said, and compliance regimes increasingly mandate staff training as a control. SMEs across Africa form the broader addressable base.
For telecom operators specifically, the relevance is direct. Customer data, billing systems and network operations all sit behind employee credentials, and regulators across several African markets have tightened breach-notification and governance rules in recent years.
A channel play, not a product launch
The agreement is a reseller partnership, not an acquisition or exclusive arrangement. KnowBe4 gains African distribution through Cassava's established enterprise channel. Liquid C2 gains a recognised global training brand without development cost.
That channel logic fits Liquid C2's positioning as a pan-African cybersecurity and cloud services provider under Cassava Technologies, which has built its strategy on partnering with international vendors and delivering them with local support structures.
For African enterprises, the practical outcome is a single regional supplier for managed security, compliance and now workforce training, with billing and support handled locally rather than through US or European contracts.
Liquid C2 said the KnowBe4 services are available to customers now as part of its bundled portfolio, with sector-specific onboarding for finance, telecoms and government clients.
