LG Ad Solutions appointed Abhijit Pol as Senior Vice President of Product and Engineering on November 5, 2026. Pol will oversee advertising technology and solutions intended to help brands and agencies connect with connected-TV audiences and achieve measurable business outcomes.
He reports to CEO Michael Hudes. The release describes LG Ad Solutions as a specialist in connected TV advertising. Pol’s stated priorities cover the advertising platform, campaign effectiveness and measurement, advertiser workflows, and applying AI where it creates value for advertisers and partners.
The announcement names no product, launch date, investment commitment or performance metric. It is therefore closer to an organizational appointment than a commercial launch, and it sets no timetable for new capabilities.
What has Hudes asked Pol to deliver?
Michael Hudes, CEO of LG Ad Solutions, said:
“Product and technology innovation are central to our business and our ability to deliver for advertisers.”
“Abhijit brings an exceptional combination of technical expertise, product thinking and experience building advertising platforms at scale.”
“Just as importantly, he understands how to translate advertiser needs into product innovation and bring new capabilities to market.”
“I’m excited to have him leading Product and Engineering as we expand what’s possible for advertisers.”
Hudes frames the appointment as both a technical and commercial task. The company says Pol will translate advertiser needs into product innovation and bring capabilities to market, but the release offers no commercial targets against which that promise can be tested.
What experience does Pol bring?
Pol joined Roku before the company had established an advertising business and helped build its first advertising technology and data platforms. He later led engineering teams covering machine learning, measurement, addressable advertising and audience intelligence while Roku’s connected-TV advertising operation grew.
His most recent role was Head of Monetisation Engineering at Pinterest. There, he led engineering organisations responsible for advertising platforms, marketplace technology and measurement capabilities, using AI and data to improve advertising effectiveness. The announcement does not quantify those results.
Earlier in his career, Pol was a founding engineer at Rocket Fuel. He helped advance the application of machine learning, automated decisioning and real-time optimisation to programmatic advertising, according to the release.
Pol described his experience this way:
“I’ve had the opportunity to shape several major developments in advertising technology, from the early evolution of programmatic and machine learning to helping establish connected TV advertising and advancing AI-driven advertising and measurement.”
“LG Ad Solutions gives me the opportunity to bring these experiences together. The true global scale of the LG Smart TV ecosystem provides a powerful foundation. I’m excited to work with the talented teams here to build our products and platforms, solve meaningful customer problems and deliver measurable outcomes for advertisers.”
What has LG actually committed to?
Pol’s career covers three layers of the advertising technology market: foundational data and ad platforms at Roku, scaled platform and measurement work at Pinterest, and early programmatic decisioning at Rocket Fuel. LG has placed him in charge of a similar chain, from product development through campaign measurement.
His priorities also call for simplifying advertiser workflows. The release does not specify which workflows LG intends to change, how advertisers will access the improvements or when those changes will appear in its products.
Pol’s reference to the “global scale” of the LG Smart TV ecosystem indicates a potential distribution advantage, but it remains a vendor claim in this announcement. The release provides no Smart TV shipment or active-user figures, advertising inventory numbers or geographic schedule for campaign products.
AI appears as a means rather than a named product. The source identifies no model, automation feature, data source, privacy safeguard or measurement standard. It also announces no regulatory change or new technical standard, leaving corporate execution rather than a shift in ad-tracking rules as the immediate story.
None of these omissions negates the appointment. They mean the case rests on Pol’s record and the claimed reach of the LG Smart TV ecosystem, not on a disclosed product, investment or result. For advertisers, the relevant evidence will be better campaign effectiveness, measurement and workflow, rather than the titles attached to them.
With no rollout or investment timeline disclosed, the next milestones to watch are the platform enhancements, measurement improvements and simpler advertiser workflows Pol has been asked to advance.
