Why it matters

  • Huawei announced the SCALE partner support framework at HUAWEI CONNECT 2026, presented by Leo Chen, SVP and President of Enterprise Sales.
  • Partners have built more than 100 solutions across eight industries using Huawei technology; reference designs and testing environments cover 48 high-value business scenarios.
  • Huawei's training and certification programmes have produced more than 50,000 AI professionals over the past three years.

The story

Huawei has launched a partner support framework called SCALE, aiming to move enterprise AI projects beyond small trials and into large-scale commercial deployment.

Leo Chen, Huawei's Senior Vice President and President of Enterprise Sales, announced the system at HUAWEI CONNECT 2026. SCALE sits inside what the company calls its Customer-Centric "Huawei + Partners" Collaboration System, and gives partners access to Huawei's tools and expertise so they can develop and deliver AI solutions to customers faster.

"The intelligent era is approaching fast. Huawei works with partners to provide products and solutions that solve real business problems," Chen said. "We want to share our own capabilities with our partners. By empowering partners this way, they can bring their unique strengths to bear and help customers move from compute construction to intelligent application."

What SCALE actually covers

According to Huawei, the framework targets the problems that typically stall AI projects when companies try to scale them: developing and testing solutions, integrating systems, delivering projects, providing ongoing support and managing heterogeneous technologies.

The company says SCALE addresses these across five areas: scenario-based solutions, co-innovation, aligned marketing, local services and consistent quality, and efficient collaboration.

As is customary at vendor keynotes, the announcement bundles hard numbers with marketing framing. The concrete claims worth noting are these: Huawei says its partners have already built more than 100 solutions for eight industries using its technology, and that partners can now access reference designs and testing environments covering 48 high-value business scenarios for designing, developing and validating solutions before rollout.

On the skills side, Huawei says its training and certification schemes have produced more than 50,000 trained AI professionals over the past three years.

New solutions and existing plumbing

Alongside SCALE, Huawei launched two new AI offerings, SMECE and the DCS AI Solution, both designed to help partners convert their industry knowledge into working AI applications. Partners also get access to AI products spanning computing, storage, networking, security and data protection.

The new framework builds on infrastructure Huawei has operated for some time. Its OpenLab platform already offers partners tools to develop and test solutions, while the O3 Partner Service Enablement Platform provides access to the company's resources and service support.

Channel strategy, not a product launch

The announcement is best read as a channel strategy rather than a technology release. Huawei is not selling SCALE as a product; it is packaging enablement resources, labs, certifications and reference architectures into a repeatable system so that smaller partners without in-house AI expertise can still deliver deployments.

That matters because enterprise AI adoption has so far clustered in proofs of concept. Vendors across the industry have struggled to convert pilots into production deployments, and channel enablement is one of the mechanisms — alongside managed services and vertical-specific stacks — being used to close that gap.

"Huawei is fully committed to helping our customer-centric 'Huawei + Partners' collaboration system thrive. We want to help partners solve customer issues more efficiently and help customers achieve large-scale AI adoption," Chen said.

He closed on the scale argument: "In this upcoming era of true intelligence, scaling proven practices across industries will allow more companies to thrive. Industrial intelligence is creating unprecedented opportunities, and Huawei wants to work with you, our customers and partners, to deploy successful benchmarks at scale, and bring the benefits of AI to more industries, organisations, and people."

Huawei did not disclose financial targets or rollout timelines for SCALE in the announcement. The company says partners can begin using the reference designs and testing environments covering the 48 business scenarios immediately, with the framework extending the existing OpenLab and O3 platforms.
